Argan oil does come from the inside of a nut from a tree. Therefore we do recommend anyone with treenut allergies especially to confirm with their doctor before consuming. Just incase! We want to ensure you all keep safe and well. <3
It's best to eat argan oil at room temperature or on low heats, like olive oil, but there is no problem or negative effect if you cook it at high temperatures (it's just that the higher temperatures means you may not get all the same nutrient benefits)! We suggest adding it towards the end of cooking or right before serving, drizzling it on top. It's delicious and perfectly ok to bake in baked desserts and still get superfood benefits!
First of all the argan tree is ONLY grown in Southwest Morocco. This adds a unique rare factor, from the availability of the oil. Secondly, it takes one woman around three days to make just one litre of argan oil. This is what makes argan oil so valuable! There is a lot of labour intense work gone into making this wonderful oil.
